Rose Petal Art

A few weeks ago, my lovely Mum gave me some roses. They stayed in good condition for a lot longer than I expected but by last Friday they were droopy and dying. They must have caught the attention of The Middle Miss because she started collecting the fallen petals.

We sat down together with some paper and pencils and this is what we came up with.

Butterflies, a fairy (I drew the body), lots of trees and flowers and a shiny sun. We don’t often get the chance to do something spontaneous and creative without a small boy disrupting us. It’s not unusual for The Middle Miss and I to disagree about how a project should progress, she has very firm ideas about things. It was a pleasure when this turned out so nicely, without a single cross word being exchanged.
